The Poster was displayed on the 24 bed Surgical unit at UmassMemorial Hospital in Worcester, MA. The tri-fold poster consists of a section to the left with all the information and application for nurses to become a member.

The center section is information and application to take the certification. The right side is a statement advocating for "Why choose CMSRN." Throughout the poster are stories from proud staff members expressing their experiences as part of AMSN.

The participating staff members range from staff nurses, Educator, and Nurse Manager.

Stephanie Swan, MSN,RN,CMSRN, Educator - "I became a CMSRN in 2011. Certification not only shows that you have taken that extra step to validate your knowledge but it also shows your commitment as a RN to your specialized patient population. I am proud to be certified in Med-Surg Nursing."

Linda Bretz,RN,MSN,CNML, West 3 Manager - "I have belonged to the AMSN since 2010, currently studying for the CMSRN. AMSN recognizes Med-Surg Nursing as a specialty. The monthly magazines and email updates are geared to what nurses need to care for their patients. Research and new trends focus on the preparation for certification. To keep professionally update as well as prepare for the exam you really get your money's worth."

Deborah Senecal,RN,CMSRN, Unit Council Chair - "I became a member in 2012 to enhance my knowledge as a nurse. The enthusiasm from members is outstanding, I felt very connected from the stories shared by nurses and enjoyed reading their accomplishments, goals and inspiration toward nursing. AMSN prepared me to pass the CMSRN exam in 2013. I look forward to helping other nurses achieve this accomplishment."

Patty Dresley, RN,MSN, Unit Council Member - "I joined the AMSN in 2011 when I first became interested in PACE program. I am proud to be a member of such a professional organization that exists to promote the best quality of care for all patients, and the medical/surgical nurses who provide that care. Although I have not been a member for long,  I feel that I have greatly benefited from the association."
