AMSN Western New York Chapter #600 held their first event at Kenmore Mercy Hospital

The Academy of Medical-Surgical Nurses (AMSN) Western New York (WNY) Chapter #600 held their first event on Wednesday, April 30, in the Community Room at Kenmore Mercy Hospital. The meeting was attended by 21 RNs, many of whom expressed an interest in AMSN. The chapter members were very encouraged by the support.

National Leadership and Influence is AMSN Goal 4 in our Strategic Plan. It is important to our organization that we have a say in decisions that impact nursing and that we affiliate with other organization with consistent direction. Our Western Pennsylvania AMSN Local Chapter #111 is aligned with this Goal by being an organizational affiliate of PSNA (Pennsylvania State Nurses Association).

New Chapter: Central Minnesota Chapter #329

The newest AMSN chapter earned its charter in June 2013. Congratulations to the Central Minnesota Chapter. Serving the following area hospitals: St. Cloud Hospital, Sauk Center, Long Prairie Hospital, Melrose Hospital, and Monticello Hospital.
